The 1932 Ford roadster is one of the most iconic cars in North American automotive history. This exceptional all-steel Hotrod brings together the perfect combination of style and performance with over $Cdn 150,000 invested. Built by British Columbia, BC, Canada Hotrod legend Jimmy Flett (Jimmy’s Rod Shop, Pitt Meadows, BC/Greater Vancouver Hot-Rod Society Pioneer inductee 2019). This was his final creation for his personal car collection and the build took 14 years to complete.
This rare Dearborn Deuce all steel body was stamped/assembled in Detroit, MI with optional steel fenders/running boards added. True to Dearborn form, the doors have been stretched 3″ rearward and the cockpit deepened by 2″ in order to provide additional legroom and comfort.
A Haartz black convertible top with glass rear window and stainless frame disappears underneath a folding steel tonneau cover. This is another unique and highly functional/sought after Dearborn design feature.
Engine: GM powered Gen IV, 6.0 litre LS2 crate motor (400 hp/400 ft.lbs of torque) featuring a lightweight aluminum block and aluminum 243 heads, Street & Performance (S&P), Mena, Arkansas provided chrome to dress the engine (custom cold air intake/filter, brackets, alternator and serpentine configuration).
Transmission/Rear End: GM 4L65E 4 speed automatic with overdrive and lock-up, Ford 9″ open 3rd member with 3.70 gears, Polished center housing
Cooling: Griffin MegaCool Exact Fit aluminum radiator with transmission cooler and aluminum Mopac recovery tank, Large HD electric fan, Molded shroud and fully adjustable Vintage Air thermostat, Custom silicone hoses (Pegasus Racing) and upgraded stainless band/bolt clamps and stainless braided lines.
Power Brakes: 4 wheel disk brakes (rear brakes are in-board). Wilwood rotors and Wilwood 4 piston billet dynalite polished calipers with stainless pistons, Wilwood aluminum Master Cylinder, Parking brake with polished calipers, Custom stainless and braided flex lines.
Chassis/Suspension: Custom TCI chassis professionally powder coated, Heidts Superide IRS with Alden American adjustable billet coil over shocks, Chrome springs and polished lower arms/uprights, TCI IFS with adjustable billet coil over shocks, Painted springs and polished lower arms/uprights.
Paint: Custom “Inferno Red Candy” paint by renowned specialist, BC Canada legend and Greater Vancouver Motorsport Pioneer (inducted 2010) Sandy Morita. 3 stage professional application using House of Kolor products.
Upholstery: Interior completed by Black Heart Upholstery including adjustable leather bucket seats.
