1957 Pontiac Chieftain Safari wagon. It has a 430 ci (7.1 liter) engine, 360 hp, 475 torque, a TH400 automatic transmission, with a shiftkit, and a 2.78:1 rear axle – 2100 rpm @ 103 kph. It has power steering, brakes, windows, seats, and antenna. The wagon came with factory A/C ( pod on top of the dash ) which was changed to Vintage Air, and now has been removed – needed a charge, and used very little – parts included. The B&M shifter has a back-up light switch, and horn button, and the overhead console has a starter button. There is an in-dash AM/FM/CD/cassette 4 speaker 10 stack stereo. The steering wheel is from a ‘73 Corvette – I have the original, with a folding spinner on it. In 2018 the wagon was completely re-wired. New tires installed a few miles ago. This wagon has a second side vent window – it was originally a 9 passenger wagon, now 5 passenger.
I have owned the wagon for 20 years and put 27,804 miles on it, as I type. It still needs some chrome redone, and some upholstery redone, and a little tailgate work, to make it perfect. You can drive it as it is, like I do, or, drive it as you perfect it. Reply for the owners contact info
