1947 Packard Clipper Areo Sedan
1947 Packard Clipper deluxe 2 Door Sedan [ Areo Sedan ] Sports sedan, frame off restored in 2016 few miles since, all new steel floors installed , Rockers and tail pan all custom fit, 18 gauge steel tub sub structure and body channelled 2 inches. Front and rear tail pans removed, bumpers moved in 3 inches, Front end totally restyled, Headlights moved outward 3 inches and forward 1 inch, door vent windows removed, and larger door glass added. Custom Rocker trim made and added, all other stainless is original to the car and restored. The entire design was made to work with the original body style. Frame was replaced with a 1978 Mercury Grand Marquise 2 door this makes for very nice riding and driving streetrod much better them adding a front clip. 460CI Ford Big Block and a C6 Automatic transmission, 1978 Ford ebrake system and booster and brake pedal assemblies. 11.5 Disc brakes , Ford 9 inch rear end with 2:75 highway gears, the Mercury frame is a perimeter design with double tube cross members added for superior strength. Full 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust and Cheery bomb mufflers for that old time sound, the engine and tranny are totally stock to be reliable and the transmission has a mild shift kit, Classic gauges , American Auto wire kit and box, Vintage heater and defroster, Tilt column, Electric wipers, Power windows and seat, console with cup holders , CD sound system and 4 Speakers, Custom interior throughout in Ultra leather and trunk also finished in carpet, under 10000 miles since built.
