The motor is actually a 1953 Ford truck motor that the block is completely rebuilt plus all the exterior parts are rebuilt. I put brand new 1949 Ford car water pumps on it so it will drop right in on a 1949 to 1954 Ford car. The reason I call it a 1949 Ford car motor is that the water pumps on a 1949 ford car have ¾ inch wide fan belts where a 1950/54 ford cars have a ½ inch fan belt. The ford trucks have a dog leg on there water pumps, so if a person wanted to put this motor in a 1949 to 1954 Ford pickup truck they would have to change the water pumps or make a special bracket to connect the motor to the frame. It costs $5200.00 to $7200.00 at Alexs Automotive to have a Ford flathead block rebuilt, so this is a hell of a deal for someone.
