1969 Pontiac Firebird Convertible 4 Speed
This 1969 Pontiac Firebird convertible spent time in long-term storage in New Hampshire before being acquired by WCDM. Subsequent refurbishment work from 2017-2019 consisted of repairing rust, stripping, and refinishing the body, rebuilding the engine, and reupholstering the interior. The car is finished in silver over black vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 350ci V8 linked with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional features include a black convertible top, a scooped hood, a rear spoiler, power-assisted front disc brakes, chrome American Racing wheels, and a Hurst shifter as well as air conditioning, Procar bucket seats, and an aftermarket digital stereo. This Firebird convertible offered with build invoices, spare parts, and a clean BC Registration.
The car left the factory finished in Cameo White (50) and was repainted in its current shade of silver during the refurbishment. Features include a black convertible top, a scooped hood, a rear spoiler, fender vents, dual mirrors, a chrome rear bumper, and polished rocker and wheel-arch moldings. The quarter panels and fenders were replaced during the refurbishment. Chrome 15″ American Racing wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The front disc brakes were added during the refurbishment.
The cabin features Procar bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl upholstery joined by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Details include air conditioning, a custom center console, woodgrain trim, a Hurst shifter, lap belts, Pontiac-branded floormats, and an aftermarket digital stereo. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a fuel-level gauge, and engine warning lights. Aftermarket gauges for voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are mounted under the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 1,600 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 was rebuilt in October 2017 and features an Edelbrock intake manifold topped with a four-barrel carburetor. The fuel tank was replaced during the refurbishment, and an oil change was performed in 2022. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a 10-bolt rear axle. A dual exhaust system with chambered mufflers has been installed. A convertible top boot, build invoices, kick panels, and spare seats are included in the sale.
