I bought the 56 in 2008 , I imported it from Sacramento, Its Registered in my Name here in BC. It started life as a 56 4 Dr Hardtop, and was Custom made into a El Camino in the early 70’s , at least that’s what the Guy I bought told me about it.When I imported it , ICBC , looked at it and They registered it as a 56 El Camino. It is well built and runs and Drive Very Good, It would take a lot to make a Show car out of it, but I was going to paint it Satin Red and leave the patina on the chrome and just have Fun with it . It has the following done to it : 383 Stroker SBC , Turbo 350 trans with shift kit and mild stall, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and Edelbrock 625 Carb, MSD Ignition system , Hooker headers and 2 ½ in Flowmaster exhaust right out to the back with Magnaflow Stainless tips CPP kit with 605 Power steering box, and drop spindles and Disc brakes, I just had front end and Alignment done at B&B Tireland in Langley ,Vette Ralley rims and BFG Tires , Traction bars, New Brake lines and Fuel system gone through, Flaming River Tilt column. It has the original Bench seat done way back when done in Black Crush Velvet as is the Headliner and door panels. Aluminum Rad , runs and drives great, It a Fun Cruiser that gets Ton’s of Attention everywhere . I have a New Vintage Air Heater System New in the Box that goes with it and a Brand New Windshield and Rubber that also goes with it.
