Selling my 1955 second series Chevrolet Side Step pickup, just not using it anymore.A great deal of money has just been spent on the vehicle, it is in #1 condition. There are less than 3,000 kilometers on it and it is in pristine condition. The engine is a 383 Stroker putting out 420 HP with 460 ft. lbs. of torque, built by TL Engines Development of the USA. The transmission is a Tremec 5 speed manual with a Hurst Shifter in the floor. It has a Ford Mustang clip on the front, four link suspension on the rear. The interior is completely finished by ASC Upholstery from Vancouver BC. There is approximately $120,000.00 invested in this truck, not including any labor and priced low for hopefully a quick sale. The vehicle has been appraised at $70,000.00 and the appraisal was done before the truck was complete, there was a fair amount of money and labor put into it after this appraisal. Other features of the truck are: it took first place for “best car of show” at the Burrard Yacht and Hot Rod show.-I have only entered it in about 8 car shows and have received two honorable mentions-the clutch is rated at 600 horse power and has an explosion proof bell housing
-it has an 373 Eaton posi traction rear end with Mickey Thompson tires on the rear-the steering column is from Flaming River
-the wood in the box and located elsewhere throughout the vehicle is IPE, a very nice hard wood-it has electric cutouts on the exhaust so you can set the exhaust harmonics to you satisfaction-there is an isolation switch for the battery with a removable key so it can’t be tampered with-there are numerous parts that go with the truck as well as the proper cover-it also has a great stereo system in it. This is a great little driving truck, I am confident that whoever buys it will be very satisfied with the handling and the power.
