For sale is a mostly stock 1937 Chevy 1/2 ton truck. The engine is out of a 1948, but it is a 216 Stovebolt, which is correct for this truck. The transmission is a 4-speed with no syncro and original 4.1 geared differential. It came to me with electrical and fuel problems, but purrs like a kitten now. Odometer reads 92,000 miles. The paint job done before my time isn’t great, but OK. The wood bed isn’t likely original but probably decades old. I’ve left it as is as I liked the rustic look. The frame is solid.
Repairs off the top of my head included:
New fuel pump
New fuel lines
Por 15 repair/restoration of the original gas tank
New 00 gauge battery and starter cables
New 6V battery
Repaired non-functioning E-brake
Re-built fuel and water temperature gauges
New spare tire
New wheel bearing on left front side
Colour matching seatbelts installed
New rear window installed
Vacuum wiper motor rebuilt
No test drives. I will start it for you and take you around the block, if requested. Sorry, but I can’t risk someone learning how to double clutch on this thing unless I have money in hand. No tire kickers or low ball offers please. Will consider a trade for a smaller 60’s car.Buyers located outside of the Lower Mainland will be responsible for arranging and paying for shipping if they don’t pick it up themselves. The price will not be discounted because it is being shipped.
